Starting September 1, 2026, new requirements will apply to the registration and management of .RU and .SU domains. Depending on the domain holder, additional verification may be required.
You have two options to meet the new requirements:
1) Verification via Gosuslugi
You can verify your identity and personal details directly through Gosuslugi, in accordance with the requirements of the Russian registry.
2) Use our Trustee Service
Alternatively, you can use our Trustee Service. A trustee will be registered as the local domain holder and will handle the required registration requirements on your behalf. The Trustee Service costs 25€ per year, excluding VAT.
If the required verification is not completed and no Trustee Service is in place, the Russian registry may suspend or delete the domain. We therefore strongly recommend taking the necessary steps as soon as possible to avoid any interruption or loss of your domain.
